The McKay Commission

Posted: June 16, 2012 in devolution
Out of interest has anybody from Cornwall contacted the McKay Commission
You would expect that Mebyon Kernow, the Cornish Constitutional Convention, the Stannary Parliament, the Cornish Green Party, our pro-devolution MP’s and any number of other Cornish organisations would quite naturally have been aware of its existence and submitted material appropriately. Then again how does that saying about assumptions go again?

The Commission’s terms of reference are: To consider how the House of Commons might deal with legislation which affects only part of the United Kingdom, following the devolution of certain legislative powers to the Scottish Parliament, the Northern Ireland Assembly and the National Assembly for Wales.
Full contact details of the Commission can be found here
